Bishop Larry Taylor
Bishop Larry Taylor is the Senior Pastor & visionary of Center For Hope Ministries, located in Bloomington, Illinois. Having served as pastor since 1999, Bishop Taylor's obedience to heavenly mandates has taken the leadership and the entire congregation of Center for Hope to another level, causing them to experience a phenomenal growth both naturally and spiritually.
In all things, he operates with the integrity befitting a man of God and for this reason God has led Bishop Taylor into places of favor that has bewildered some believers. Under his leadership, the congregation of Center For Hope has completed the first phase of their building project. In the summer of 2006, the ministry will begin phase two, a multi-purpose gymnasium, which will serve the youth and outreach programs.
A native of Chicago, Illinois, Bishop Taylor accepted his call to ministry and became an Associate Minister in 1989 under New Hope International Ministry's Campus Outreach (Illinois State University). From the onset, he has concentrated his efforts on building "Kingdom Marriages" that would resemble God's purpose. Through this, the ministry "The Two Shall Become One" was birthed and has produced fruit from the efforts of private counseling and corporate seminars.
Bishop Taylor graduated from Illinois State University in 1982 with a Bachelors of Science in Economics and subsequently worked in banking, mostly Management and Sales & Financial Counseling for over 20 years. Most recently, he withdrew from corporate America in order to fully operate in his office as the prophet and overseer of Center For Hope Ministries. The focus in now effective ministry and the goal is to cultivate true workers for God’s kingdom. In doing so, Bishop Taylor aims to bring restoration in the lives of men and command them to embrace their spiritual inheritance as priest, prophet and king of their homes.
Bishop Taylor is a visionary, counselor, teacher, and innovator, but most of all he is a devoted husband to his wife, First Lady Desetra Taylor of 25 years and a loving father to Rashod, Marcus and Krystal.
